Workman's Compensation

In Massachusetts, Workman’s Compensation is governed by Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 152. This statute defines and delineates the rights of employees, as well as the obligations of employers and insurance companies.
Generally, an employee who is temporarily disabled as the result of a work related injury is entitled to collect benefits equaling 60% of his gross weekly wages for a period of up to three years. There are also sections of the law that allow for partial disability benefits, as well as permanent and total disability benefits. The law governs medical benefits, vocational rehabilitation benefits and all other benefits available to injured employees.
